Muswell Hill
A small-scale project to revitalise a North London Victorian terrace.
New doors, windows and rooflights flood the space with natural light, while thermal upgrades make the historic volume more energy-efficient.
Bespoke plywood joinery includes new kitchen units and a full wall of built in display and storage space - a clean-lined contemporary take on the traditional kitchen dresser. Alongside the natural wood, terrazzo flooring and sunflower yellow tiles bring colour and warmth to the functional yet homely interior.
A glazed partition creates a new view from the front door all the way through to the lush garden. The junction between the hallway, with its original stair and Victorian tiles, has been carefully considered to ensure old meets new gently.
